HairConfirm Puts Parents in Control
About 4.5 million teenagers have taken prescription painkillers like OxyCodin or Vicodin for non-medical purposes. Midland County Sheriff Gary Painter says it’s a horrible problem with many junior high and high school students. Sheriff Painter says kids are taking pills from their parents’ cabinets and taking them school, then selling them to their friends at school. Some teenagers are taking prescription drugs because of the availability or peer pressure, while others just take them hoping to forget their problems. HairConfirm is a new home-based hair follicle drug test kit. It’s the first of its kind, and tests for 12 different types of illegal and prescription drugs. Once the lab receives the hair sample, it takes 48 hours to get the results. Parents can than go online and obtain a lab report. HairConfirm is 99.9% effective. The kit costs $89.99. It includes a collection kit, prepaid return envelope, lab fee, report and free counseling hotline. HairConfirm is now available at CVS and Amazon.com, and it will soon hit the shelves at Walgreens nationwide.
